01 / MakeoversThe site you have

A new look on the bones you have.

The site you have, made better.

Without starting again: your content and your address stay, and so does your place in search.

Launch is the middle, not the end: we measure, tune, and keep it fast.

What you get

  1. A new look on the bones you have
  2. Clearer pages and navigation
  3. Speed and phones fixed
  4. Content and address kept

02 / The standardAlign Retreats / 2026

Fast, accessible, right on a phone.

What we hold a site to — shown on one we designed and built from nothing: Align Retreats.

Its words were measured, not guessed: standing in the forest as 3D type, the same sentence scored 17:1 contrast in one spot and 2.6:1 in another — so it is set on the page now, ink on paper, always, with the forest behind.

Phones get the same forest as a desktop. On data saver, or without WebGL 2, the walk is ten lines on paper: not a fallback, a different edit of the same piece.

Why Pumice.

A small, independent studio in Golden Bay, Aotearoa: small on purpose.

  1. Nothing lost

Your content and your address are kept, and so is your place in search.

  2. The bones you have

A new look, clearer pages and navigation, and speed and phones fixed — without starting again.

  3. The same hands

Designed, built and rendered by the same hands, from the first sketch to the last frame — and you watch it grow.

  4. One fixed quote

One quote for the whole job, agreed in writing before anything is built, in NZD or AUD.

How it goesNZD or AUD

After you write.

Nothing is built before there is one quote for the whole job, agreed in writing.

Every project is quoted per project, in full, before it starts: one fixed quote for the whole job, in NZD or AUD, depending on where you are.

  1. Discover

We listen first: what you have, who it is for, and what would make it work. No pitch theatre.

  2. Define

One clear direction, and one quote for the whole job, agreed in writing before anything is built.

  3. Create

Designed, built and rendered by the same hands, and you watch it grow.

  4. Refine

Launch is the middle, not the end: we measure, tune, and keep it fast.

Questions.

Before a project starts.

  1. Do we have to start again?

No. A makeover is a new look on the bones you have: clearer pages and navigation, and speed and phones fixed.

  2. Will we lose our address, content or place in search?

No — that is what a makeover is for: a new look, clearer pages and a faster, sharper site, without losing your address, your content or your place in search.

  3. How much does a website makeover cost?

There are no list prices. Every project is quoted per project, in full, before it starts: one fixed quote for the whole job, in NZD or AUD, depending on where you are.

  4. What happens after I get in touch?

We listen first: what you have, who it is for, and what would make it work. No pitch theatre. Then one clear direction, and one quote for the whole job, agreed in writing before anything is built.

  5. What happens after it launches?

Launch is the middle, not the end: we measure, tune, and keep it fast.

  6. Do you work with people outside New Zealand?

Yes. We work from Golden Bay, at the top of the South Island, for people anywhere — and quote in NZD or AUD, depending on where you are.

Also from us.
